Politico has released a list of Washington’s ten most influential Twitterers. Topping the list is “The Architect” Karl Rove, followed by Senator Claire McCaskill (D-Missouri), Meet the Press host David Gregory and Presisdent Obama.

The Ten Most Infuential Washingtion Twitterers

1. Karl Rove

2. Sen. Claire McCaskill

3. David Gregory

4. Barack Obama

5. Newt Gingrich

6. Ana Marie Cox

7. Sen. Chuck Grassley

8. Joe Trippi

9. Patrick Ruffini

10. Al Gore

Considering the success of President Obama’s campaign and the time invested in Twitter and other social media tools, I was surprised not to see him at number one. I suspect this is because there’s been only three tweets posted to his account since the end of the election.
