The John McCain “Twitterview”

Former Clinton Advisor and current ABC News Correspondent George Stephanopoulos is planning a live interview with Senator John McCain (R- AZ) via Twitter. The “Twitterview” will take place on March 17 at 12:00 noon EST. Anyone interested in suggesting questions to Stephanopoulos may do so by sending him a tweet. George Stephanopoulos is an avid user of the Twitter and Facebook and has a large following at both communities. Senator McCain has taken a liking to Twitter in recent weeks, using the service to critize the recently passed economic stimulus bill.

The Twitter Top Ten – Washington Edition

Politico has released a list of Washington’s ten most influential Twitterers. Topping the list is “The Architect” Karl Rove, followed by Senator Claire McCaskill (D-Missouri), Meet the Press host David Gregory and Presisdent Obama.

Considering the success of President Obama’s campaign and the time invested in Twitter and other social media tools, I was surprised not to see him at number one.
