MBC ’09 – The World’s First Microblogging Conference

MBC ’09, the world’s first Microblogging Conference, was recently held in Hamburg Germany. Organized by Cem Basman, the format of the conference was a hybrid of a barcamp and a normal conference. Topics discussed included the role of microblogging platforms in journalism, and the future of the medium. Sponsors include T-Mobile, Seesmic, Control Yourself, Inc., and Communardo. For those who were unable to attend, you can find photos and videos from the conference at the MBC09 website. Due to the overwhelming success of MBC09, a second conference is being planned for the end of the summer. Please visit the MBC09 website for more details, including sponsorship information.
